The sculptural installation titled Faith is the result of asking the question, “What does faith mean outside a religious context?”
The construction of Faith was completed in 1991. With this work I drew on my interest in symbolism and architecture. The three entrances of a cathedral, one of the principal structures of western society, symbolize faith, hope and charity, and at some future point I anticipate constructing Hope and Charity. It is the interpretation of these beliefs, related not to any particular religious ideology but to a secular reality experienced on a day-to-day basis, that I want to investigate.
